Handmade In Finland Since 1976

Roselli axes are handmade in Finland by a small team of craftsmen who have been forging blades since 1976. Every axe is designed for a lifetime of hard use, backed by a lifetime warranty and a free sharpening service. That's the promise behind Roselli's own line: one axe for life.

Who is Roselli?

Roselli was founded by Heimo Roselli, who grew up on a Finnish farm where fishing, hunting and carpentry were part of daily life. Frustrated by poor-quality knives, he started making his own, and over decades became a master metallurgist known for producing exceptionally hard, sharp steel.

Today the workshop is based in the small village of Harmoinen, Finland. Every axe is still made entirely by hand, combining traditional Finnish forging methods with modern techniques refined over almost 50 years.

What makes a Roselli axe different?

Three things set Roselli axes apart from mass-produced alternatives:

The steel.

Roselli uses high-carbon steels, including its own Ultra High Carbon (UHC) blend, developed for exceptional edge retention and strength.

The materials.

Handles are made from curly birch and sheaths from vegetable-tanned leather, both sourced in Finland.

Why "one axe for life"?

Every Roselli axe comes with a lifetime warranty and free sharpening service. It's a tool built to be used, passed down and kept sharp for decades rather than replaced. That's what "one axe for life" means in practice, not just as a slogan.
